RELAXED Vs. NATURAL

Hairsquares, I know going natural for some of you is absolutely out of the question. And believe me, I totally understand. I mean the thought of heading to the club looking like Beyonce, but coming out a few hours later looking like Buckwheat is SCARY! Lets face it, natural hair is a blessing and a curse all at the same time. But squares, it is possible to have a perfect balance between the two. What i mean by that is be natural and processed,( just not overly processed).
Over processed hair for black women happens when the hair is having frequent chemical applications, so that means single colors, highlights, relaxers, texturizers basically anything that involves what, chemicals! you guessed it and are being left on for too long. So ladies, times where you just put in your home kit relaxers and you leave it in for longer than what the box suggests, thinking the extra time is helping your hair to get straighter, it isnt! it's just over processing it.
The key to balancing between being natural and processed, ladies is MODERATION. Anything too much isnt good for you, always remember that! Instead of getting a touch-up every four weeks, try and space it out, try to double it up and go for 8 weeks between relaxers. Find hairstyles that allow you to still look great but also allows for natural hair growth. For instance, a weave is a good way to hold out on getting a relaxer for two months. Rollersets are also a great in between hairstyle.
